Bushcraft & Survival Fundamental Skills Course
Join us for an immersive, hands-on day at our woodland site near Warminster, Wiltshire, where you’ll learn a range of essential bushcraft and survival skills.
This practical course is designed to give you the knowledge, confidence and techniques needed to make the most of your time in the outdoors. Throughout the day, our experienced instructors will guide you through a variety of practical activities, giving you the opportunity to learn and practise each skill in a friendly and supportive woodland environment.
Key Skills & Activities
Build a Debris Shelter – Learn how to construct an effective shelter using natural materials to provide protection from the elements.
Tarp Shelters – Learn how to set up a tarp to create an effective, versatile shelter using a variety of practical configurations.
Knots & Lashings – Learn a selection of useful knots and their applications for shelter building, securing equipment and everyday bushcraft tasks.
Purify Water – Discover practical methods of making water safer for drinking in a survival situation.
Natural Tinders – Learn how to identify and use natural materials as effective tinder for fire lighting.
Light a Fire Without Matches – Develop your fire-lighting skills using alternative methods and natural materials.
Make Cordage from Natural Plant Fibres – Learn how to make strong and useful cordage from natural materials.
Tree Identification – Learn to identify a range of common trees and discover some of their uses in bushcraft.
Knife & Folding Saw Skills – Learn safe and effective techniques for using a knife and folding saw in a woodland environment.
Finding North Without a Compass – Learn how to use natural signs and environmental clues to help determine direction.
Course Details
Location: Woodland site near Warminster, Wiltshire
Duration: 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break
Course Fee: £75 per person (a small booking fee may be added by Eventbrite)
Minimum Age: 18 years
Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day, with the kettle on for you to make yourself a cuppa.
Whether you are completely new to bushcraft or looking to develop your existing outdoor skills, this course provides a great opportunity to learn practical techniques in a relaxed and enjoyable woodland setting.

We are situated near Warminster, in the heart of Wiltshire, Southwest England, with easy access from Bristol, Bath, Salisbury, Southampton, Chippenham, Swindon and London.
The closest railway station is Warminster, approximately a 10-minute drive from our woodland site.
