Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions outline the agreement between you and Explore the Great Outdoors.

Any modifications to this agreement must be made in writing by Explore the Great Outdoors.

Booking Terms

1. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure a place on any course.
2. Course places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. All bookings are non-refundable.
4. Explore the Great Outdoors reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion, without providing a reason.

Gift Voucher Terms

1. Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be returned after purchase.
2. Each gift voucher is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
3. The voucher recipient must attend a course before the voucher’s expiration.
4. To redeem a gift voucher, select a course and email us the voucher’s unique code. Vouchers can be used for full or partial payment.
5. Redemption of gift vouchers is subject to course availability.
6. Explore the Great Outdoors is not responsible for lost or stolen gift vouchers.
7. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
8. No refunds will be provided for unused gift vouchers.

Changing your Booking

1. Requests to change a booking must be submitted at least 8 weeks before the course start date.
2. All change requests must be made via email.
3. If the new course fee is higher, the balance must be paid to confirm the change.
4. Requests made less than 8 weeks before the course start date will be treated as cancellations.
5. It is strongly recommended to purchase appropriate insurance coverage.

Client Conduct

1. Arrive at the designated meeting point on time for the course.
2. Behave respectfully to ensure the safety and enjoyment of others.
3. Refrain from using foul or abusive language.
4. Do not make racist, sexist, homophobic, or defamatory statements.
5. Aggressive behavior is prohibited.
6. Alcohol and illegal drugs are not permitted.
7. Pets are not allowed on any courses.
8. Follow all reasonable instructions and directions from staff.
9. You are responsible for any equipment issued to you and liable for any loss or damage due to misuse.
10. Failure to comply with these rules may result in expulsion from the course without a refund. Explore the Great Outdoors is not liable for any additional losses.

Course Cancellations

1. Explore the Great Outdoors will make every effort to run courses as scheduled.
2. However, cancellations may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as:
• - Extreme weather conditions (e.g, wind )
• - Government regulations
• - DEFRA restrictions (e.g., foot and mouth disease)
• - COVID-19 lockdowns
3. If we cancel a course for these reasons, an alternative date will be offered.
4. If an alternative date is unavailable, a full refund will be provided.

Insurance and Public Liability

1. Explore the Great Outdoors is covered by Public Liability Insurance through a reputable provider.
2. Our courses take place in woodland environments and under various weather conditions.
3. While all reasonable precautions are taken, such settings carry some inherent risk.
4. We are not responsible for accidents, incidents, or losses that occur due to failure to follow our guidelines.
5. We are not liable for any loss or damage to personal property, including clothing, money, or vehicles.
6. Consider obtaining personal insurance if necessary.
7. Explore the Great Outdoors is not liable for accidents involving third parties that you may instruct.

Photographs

1. By participating, you grant permission for photos or videos taken during activities to be used by Explore the Great Outdoors as they see fit.
2. If you do not want to be photographed or recorded, you must notify us in writing before the course begins.
3. If you appear in photos or videos, you waive the right to request that your image not be used.
