Welcome to Our Woodworking Workshops! Are you looking for a creative and educational activity for your home-educated children? Our woodworking classes are the perfect opportunity for kids aged 10 to 16 to learn valuable skills while having fun and creating their own unique projects.

About Our Classes

Duration: 2 hours per session
Age Group: 10-16 years old

Group Size: Small groups to ensure individual attention
Cost: £20 per participant + an additional charge of approximately £4/5 for materials


Our workshops are designed to be both educational and enjoyable. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, children will learn the basics of woodworking,


Including:

Safe Tool Handling: Understanding how to use tools safely and effectively.

Measuring and Marking: Learning the importance of precision in woodworking.

Cutting and Shaping: Techniques for cutting and shaping wood to create different designs.

Assembly: How to assemble pieces to make a sturdy final product.

Each session focuses on a different project, allowing children to explore a variety of woodworking techniques and create items they can be proud of. Some of the exciting projects include:


Nest Boxes: Perfect for attracting birds to the garden and providing them with a safe place to nest.

Bug Hotels: A fun way to learn about insects and help the environment by providing a habitat for beneficial bugs.

Birdfeeders: Creating feeders to attract and observe different bird species.
