Your tutor will guide you through the tools and techniques used to turn greenwood starting with wood selection before moving onto prepping your wood (billet) for turning using a variety of tools such as a froe, axe and drawknife. During the turning section you will have the opportunity to use gouges, skew and a flat chisels whilst producing a few items to take home such as a honey drizzle, masher, dipper, rolling pin or perhaps a mini mallet, the choice is yours.
The session will start promptly at 9.30 and finish at 4.30.
The kettle will be on throughout the session for you to enjoy a cuppa (a selection of teas and coffees will be provided, plus individually wrapped biscuits). Please bring a packed lunch and your own cup/mug.
